The tragic and senseless killing of George Floyd cannot be tolerated. ICS Inventory, LLC condemns the systemic racism that led to his inhumane death. This is but the latest injustice against African Americans and people of color such as Rayshard Brooks, Ahmaud Arbery, Breonna Taylor, and so many others over the years.

Since our founding in 2001, ICS Inventory, LLC has been committed to facilitating personal growth and insight and collective change in ways that improve people’s intercultural competence and their efforts at bridging cultural differences so that relationships are strengthened and the human condition is enhanced. We at ICS Inventory, LLC support Black Lives Matter in the fight against systemic racism. We urge Congress to pass H.R. 40, legislation which would create a commission to examine the impact of slavery and discrimination and identify remedies. In addition, we support genuine and authentic dialogue as an important process to achieve cultural understanding, racial healing and justice.

Many of you may be asking yourselves, “What can I do?” As a starting point consider the following:

• Work to educate yourselves and others about the pervasive issues of racism and the structures that perpetuate the status quo.
• Embark on difficult conversations with individuals, coworkers, and community leaders as a step in the journey toward an equitable and just society.
• Hone and harness all of the tools we have to lend expertise and assistance as change agents.

For some of us, the hard work is just beginning, while for others, the fight can feel never-ending. This fight can be won . . . with you . . . and all of us working and supporting one another.
