ICS CP Continuing Education Credits Information

We're delighted to offer you the opportunity to gain recognized professional development for these accreditation organizations. Below you'll find details on the organizations that have approved our program for continuing education credits, how to apply these credits, and answers to questions you may have.

Accrediting Organizations

Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) - The SHRM Recertification Provider Program acknowledges the quality of our HR knowledge and behavioral competency programming. As a participant, you can earn preapproved Professional Development Credits (PDCs) towards maintaining your SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certifications.

International Coaching Federation (ICF) - Our program qualifies for Continuing Coach Education Units, essential for your ICF renewal or credentialing applications. For detailed information, please visit the ICF website.

 

Applying for Credits:

• SHRM - Locate the ICS Certificate Program in SHRM's list of PDC opportunities and obtain the activity code for adding PDCs to your SHRM certification portal.
• ICF - Upon completing the ICS Certificate Program, simply use your completion certificate, which includes the approved Continuing Coach Education Units, for your ICF application.

How many credits does the ICS Certificate Program qualify for?

• SHRM - 8 PDCs
• ICF - 6 Core and 2 Resource Development credits, totaling 8 CCEs

If I don't have the [Name of Certification] can I benefit from the continuing education credits?

If you already hold the SHRM or ICF certifications mentioned above, these credits are designed to assist you in meeting your continuing education requirements. However, if you don't possess these certifications, you can still enjoy the benefits of our program without needing the continuing education verification.

Can I use this course to meet continuing education requirements for [name of certification]?

Potentially. Many organizations approve courses without pre-approval on a case-by-case basis. You should contact the organization to learn about the requirements. If you need a letter outlining the learning hours of the course, we can provide that to you. Please email your request to support@icsinventory.com.

I took the ICS Certificate program before July 2024. Can I get the credits retroactively?

You may wonder about retroactive credits if you completed the ICS Certificate program before July 2024.

• SHRM - Unfortunately, we can't generate an activity code for sessions held before July 2024. You'll need to contact SHRM directly to inquire about accepting PDCs for sessions conducted before our program's approval.
• ICF - While our program received approval for CCEs in May 2024, participation before this date may require confirmation from ICF. Please contact ICF for further guidance.
